How do I make patterns like the checkerboard?
Open cube patterns and press Make it on any pattern to watch it form. Then start with a solved cube, white on top and green in front, and copy the moves.
Step by step
- Open cube patterns.
- Press Make it to watch a pattern form on the 3D cube.
- Start with a solved cube, white on top, green facing you, and do the moves in order.
- To undo it, do the moves backwards with each turn reversed. The checkerboard and superflip undo themselves if you do them twice.
Questions and fixes
My pattern looks wrong
One wrong turn changes the whole pattern. Solve the cube and start again slowly, saying each move out loud.
