About these terms

These terms cover this website (4inarow.online) and the Four in a Row game at play.4inarow.online (also when the game is shown inside a page of this website). They are run by Mark Davies (47 Ravenswood Road, London SW12 9PN), an individual based in England, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). By using our websites you agree to these terms. Please also read our privacy notice.

Who can play

• Anyone can play against the computer, 2 players on one screen, and online as a guest.
• Game accounts are only for people aged 13 and over. When you make one, you confirm you are 13 or over.
• If you are under 18, please check with a parent or carer that they are happy for you to play online.

Your account

• Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• We don’t collect email addresses, so we can’t reset a forgotten password. You can make a new account instead.
• You can delete your account at any time from the account page. Accounts not used for 24 months are deleted.

Fair play and names

Please don’t:

• use a computer program, bot or engine to choose your moves in online games
• cheat, for example by playing against yourself on purpose to raise a rating
• use a name that is rude, mean, hateful, pretends to be someone else (including us or a real person), or is your real full name
• try to break, overload or get into parts of the game you shouldn’t

If someone breaks these rules, we may change their name, reset their rating, remove them from the leaderboard, or delete their account. We try to be fair, and you can email us if you think we got it wrong.

No chat

There is no chat or messaging in the game. Other players only see your name, level, rating and moves. Never share personal details in your username or guest name.

Adverts

Adverts help keep the game free. We are not responsible for the products or websites in adverts shown by Google.

The game is provided “as is”

The game is free. We try to keep it running and correct, but we can’t promise it will always be available, free of mistakes, or that ratings will never be lost. We may change, pause or stop the game or any feature at any time.

Our responsibility to you

We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, losses caused by things outside our control, or business losses (the game is for personal fun only). Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, you also keep all your legal rights.

Trademarks

Connect 4 and Connect Four are trademarks of Hasbro, Inc. Four in a Row is an independent game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Hasbro or MB Games. Any other names belong to their owners.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or another country, you can also use your local courts and keep the protection of your local consumer law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
