The fastest way to improve is to find out exactly where you went wrong. Our free solver works like a Connect 4 calculator for your own games.
Step by step

- After a game, open the solver and click the columns in the order you played.
- Step back through the moves one at a time.
- Watch the score. The move where it drops from winning to losing, or from drawing to losing, is your mistake.
- Look at what the solver suggests instead, and work out why it’s better.
- Play the position again against the computer to practise.
What to look for

- Moves that gave your opponent a double threat.
- Moves under your opponent’s winning space.
- Late-game moves where the odd and even rule decided the result.
