How do ratings, levels and rankings work in Four in a Row?
Games between two account holders are rated. Everyone starts at 1000, and your level goes from New player up to Master. See the top players in Rankings. Guests are never rated.
Step by step
- Sign in to an account (13 and over).
- Play online against other account holders: quick matches, challenges, friend links and tournaments are rated.
- Your level: New player (first 5 rated games), then Beginner, Casual (900+), Intermediate (1100+), Advanced (1300+), Expert (1500+), Master (1700+).
- Open Rankings to see the top players.
Questions and fixes
I am not in the rankings
You need at least 5 rated games, and your rating must be set to show. Players under 18 start with a private rating; switch on “Show my rating and level” in the lobby options.
A game didn’t change my rating
Games abandoned before both players have moved don’t count, and games against guests are never rated.
