How do I use the Four in a Row solver to find the best move?
Open the solver, drop discs to set up the position, and each column shows its result with perfect play, like “Win in 5” or “Draw”. Check every move marks mistakes in a game.
Step by step
- Open the Four in a Row solver.
- Click columns or press 1 to 7 to drop discs. You can also type or paste a move list such as 4453.
- Read the scores: “Win in 5” means you can force a win with your 5th disc from now; “Lose in 3” means a perfect opponent wins with their 3rd disc.
- Use Undo, Redo, Reset and Flip board. Turn on Hide scores to practise.
- Try Play against the solver, or Check every move to see where a game was won or lost.
