How do I use the 2x2 and 4x4 solvers?
Open the 2x2 solver or 4x4 solver, choose Enter my cube’s colours, colour every sticker without turning your cube round, and press Solve. The 4x4 moves are grouped into steps.
Step by step
- Open the 2x2 solver or the 4x4 solver.
- Choose Enter my cube’s colours. Hold your cube any way up and keep it that way.
- Colour all 24 stickers (2x2) or 96 stickers (4x4).
- Press Solve. The 4x4 solver takes a second or two the first time.
- Follow the moves. On a 4x4, Rw turns the two right layers together, and 2R turns only the second layer.
Questions and fixes
The 4x4 says a parity fix is needed
That is normal on a 4x4: some positions need an extra step that a 3x3 never does. The solver adds it for you. Read about 4x4 parity.
