3D Four in a Row

3D Four in a Row takes the classic game into a cube. Instead of a flat board, you play on a 4 × 4 grid of upright poles, each holding up to 4 beads. If you’ve searched for 3D Connect 4, this is the game.

Rules

  1. Players take turns placing a bead on any pole that isn’t full.
  2. Beads drop to the lowest free spot on that pole.
  3. Make four in a line in any direction, including straight through the cube’s middle, to win.

Why it’s harder

A 4 × 4 × 4 cube has 76 winning lines, more than the 69 on a flat board, and many run diagonally through the middle of the cube. The four central poles are the most powerful.
